Mr. Gage's telegram No. 404, to the Foreign Office. Mr. Malley is leaving August 15th : _ ́ ! morning by special aeroplane for Hongkong. I have given him a letter of introduction to you. He expects to arrive the same afternoon

and I should be grateful if aerodrome authorities could be

informed.

I understand that one object of the visit is the establish-

ment of direct agency for import of aircraft and material on

behalf of aeronautical commission as Jardine Matheson and

Company have cancelled agreement copy of which was enclosed in Mr. Gage's letter of August 30th to Mr. Orde, Foreign Office, copy sent to Commercial Secretary Hongkong under printed

letter No. 20.
